A 4.1 has been published on Git Hub.

The 4.1 offers a 64bit version of the product and a full rework of the Excel Converter with great performances.

Feedbacks are welcomed !

Hi,

I am just upgrading now from 4.0.1 to 4.1 64bits.

Installation process went fine, after I migrated the ODBC drivers, all local connections are running fine. I can run SealReport Designer, and execute reports within the designer.

But I have an issue when running the reports throught the IIS :

Could not load file or assembly 'SealWebServer' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'SealWebServer' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

Source Error:
An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Thanks for your help!

[EDIT] Stepped back to the 4.1 32b in the meantime.

Hi, please can you check:
Using IIS Manager, the Application Pool of your IIS Web Site has the flag: 'Enable 32-bit Application' set to false.
Check your Web.config: Publishing the Web Report Server over an existing installation will not overwrite the existing Web.config.
You should have a web.config that works in a file named Web.Release.Config

Another option is to cleanup all and to re-publish from the Wizard or to publsih using a new application name and pool name with the Wizard.

Good luck.

Hi Eric,

Can you please check if the Cell Script is running as expected in the 64b version?

Even using the sample 50 - Progression and running totals doesn't seem to provide the expected result, it just displays the selected column with the applied aggregation.

Thanks for checking.

Thomas

64bit version requires 64bit OLE DB drivers....so the Northwind samples do not work as it uses MS Access 32bit driver.
For MySQL, please check that you have the 64bit drivers.

Can you specify the problem ?
The report sample 50 cannot work in 64bit as it uses Northwind (only 32bit driver)
The 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' provider is not registered on the local machine.

I updated the ODBC drivers (using the AccessDatabaseEngine_X64.exe provided by Microsoft), and updated the connection string to the Northwind database to 'Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;' for the provider part.

I can then run the reports in a 64b version of the ODBC...

Well it is a bit complicated to test: Having a computer without office32, Northwind.mdb does not work...you have to convert it to accdb....
Then I notice that the engine is different and seems not to use the brackets...so the SQL seem different for this Access driver.
So I would say that the Northwind sample is not done for the 64bit.
If you experience issues with the 64bit, please provide us with a sample not based on Northwind.
