Is it possible to setup a new data source using an RSS feed instead of a SQL database?

No, this feature is not possible in the current version...
To do that you have to transform the RSS feed into a DataTable (including an editor to define it) but no development is planned so far for additional type of source...

Hi, the 1.8 version allows now to query RSS feeds through No SQL feature,
The release comes with a sample report showing how to do it: 42-No SQL Source RSS.srex
