I've recently installed sealfullsetupeval30 on Windows10.
When I tested with GMail Device, I got the error message:

"The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.5.1 Authentication Required. Learn more at"

Here is the configuration:

(1)GMail Device:
Definition
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port:587
SMTP User name: myemail@gmail.com
SMTP Password: *******
Sender Email: myemail@gmail.com
Reply addresses: my2email@gmail.com

Advanced
Delivery Method: Network
Enable SSL:True
Timeout:10000
Use Default Credentials:False
Used for notification: False

Helpers
Email address for the test: my2email@gmail.com
Send test Email:
Information:Error got when sending the test Email.
Error:

(2) myemail@gmail.com account:
2-Step Verification Off
Allow less secure apps: ON


I am wondering if I've missed anything or the eval edition does not support Gmail Device.

Can anyone help out?

I made quick tries and it seems to work fine, the message you got is when password is not set or incorrect...
Note that the test email button does use the ReplyTo if it is specified (will be enhanced in 3.1).

thanks for your quick reply.

the password works when i logon gmail through web browser.

I have tested the following two scenarios. no luck.

Definition

SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port:587
SMTP User name: myemail@gmail.com ----(a)
SMTP Password:
Sender Email: myemail@gmail.com ----(b)
Reply addresses: myemail@gmail.com ----(c) a=b=c

and


Definition

SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port:587
SMTP User name: myemail@gmail.com ----(a)
SMTP Password:
Sender Email: myemail@gmail.com ----(b)

SMTP Password:

While typing in the password, it shows as ******
But when finished typing and moved the mouse around, the Password filed becomes blank.
Wondering if the password takes effect.

Yes, that is the problem, the password has been cleared during the edition...looks like a bug....but I do not manage to do it.
Can you describe the steps to reproduce the problem ?

Yes I understand but I do not manage to reproduce the problem:
I type my password in SMTP Password, then where do you move the mouse ? do you click somewhere else ?
Thanks to describe exactly the procedure.

Finally, you managed to enter the password and send the email ?

After i type the password, i move the mouse somewhere outside the edit box and click. Once i click the mouse, the edit box is cleared.
no luck with this password issue.
would try lower version.

Did you try to run the Server Manager as Administrator ?

I had a look in the code the password field is Encrypted/Decrypted on the fly,
so it looks like you got an error in your environment...
I will contact you directly to fix the issue.

Running as administrator does not help.
I have tried the beta version. After I type the password and click somewhere else, I get the error message:
Error during password decryption: Specified key is not a valid size for this algorithm

Sometimes, it is because Google blocks sign-in attempts from apps which do not use modern security standards (mentioned on their support page). You can however, turn on/off this safety feature by going to the link below:

Go to this link and select Turn On

https://www.google.com/s.../security/lesssecureapps

Moreover google block an ip when you try to send a email since a unusual location, so, you can unblock in the next link

https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6009563

and clicked in

accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha .
